Add Name & Date on Photo

Some forms, like NEET (NTA), want your name and the date the photo was taken printed below the photo. Add both in a neat strip and get the right file size in one go.

How to use

  1. Choose your photo and select the form type.
  2. Type your name as in your certificate, and the date the photo was taken.
  3. Adjust the photo position and the strip height until the text is clear.
  4. Tap Resize & compress and download.

Which forms need name and date on the photo?

NTA (NEET UG) asks for a passport photo with the candidate's name and the date of taking the photo. Some older SSC forms and state recruitment boards also asked for it. When a notification says "photo with name and date", it means a white strip at the bottom of the photo with your name and the date, like a studio photo.

Good practice

  • Write the name exactly as on your Class 10 certificate.
  • Use the real date the photo was taken, in DD/MM/YYYY format.
  • Keep the strip between 15% and 22% of the photo height so the face stays large.
  • Use the same photo at the exam centre if the form asks you to bring copies.

Frequently asked questions

Does NEET require name and date on the photo?

Recent NEET UG instructions ask for a passport photo with name and date of taking the photo. Check the current information bulletin before applying.

Which date should I write?

The date the photo was taken, not today's date or your date of birth.

Can I write the name in Hindi?

Forms usually expect the name in English capital letters, as in your certificate. The tool prints it in capitals.

Will the file size still be within limits?

Yes. After adding the text, the photo is compressed to the KB range you choose.
